WHERE DOES THE WIND BLOW? LIBECCIO SOUTH – WEST (SW)

You’re an athlete and want to take advantage of the wind to sail the sea or you prefer to spend a day of tranquility?
Libeccio is a wind that blows from the southwest. Usually it comes very quickly, growing to reach a very high power, and then calm down with the same speed with which it was born. Following the disturbances, then usually, ceased its effect and its intensity, there is a pressure increase with arrival of good weather.
If you have chosen to spend a relaxing day you can choose from these beaches, in the other side.

Some beaches sheltered by Libeccio:

Ottone: Location Bagnaia toward Portoferraio after just 1 Km there is the beach, accessible by footpath.
Type of beach: sand and gravel

Magazzini: along the road follow signs for Warehouses. After 3 km we reach the beach
Type of beach: gravel

Schiopparello: on the road that goes from Portoferraio to Porto Azzurro follow signs for Schipparello.
Beach type: Gravel

Grigolo: reach of the center of Portoferraio, near the covered market also called Via dell’Amore
Type of beach: sand
